Laid out in 1974 by the course designer Michel Rio on the Saclay plateau, an area that is predominantly agricultural and bordered by a strip of woodland near the valley of the Yvette and in thwe Chevreuse valley, the Golf de St Aubin offers an authentically natural setting close to a mini wildlife park at Les Biches. The St Aubin course is restful and not very long, but nevertheless technically very demanding because of the great variety of its well-defended greens. And that, of course, is the most important factor in the little white ball game. Perhaps the secret of its distinction is that it is one of the most innovative of French clubs in matters relating to tuition. Being close to Paris, the Golf de St Aubin is the perfect course for practising and for improving and offers a relaxed and friendly ambience.
