Etampes' museum, in the heart of an historic town with a wealth of architectural heritage, offers the opportunity to discover its collections. Ranging from fossils from the Stampian period district, around 35 million years old, to XIXth century art, the museum features numerous stages in the history of art and culture in the Essonne. Display of prehistoric, Gallo-Roman and medieval archaeological finds provide an essential complement to your visit to the town and its surrounding area.
