Local crafts and country produce
Essonne is a region of character and distinction in terms of its flavoursome produce and the traditional know-how of its people.
In every corner of the department - in the Brie Française the Hurepoix, the Beauce, the Gâtinais Français... – there are a host of growers and producers who adhere to the standards set out by the association "Produits et Terroir Essonne - Ile de France".
Call on our farms, craftsmen producers and processors, and appreciate the wealth and diversity of our towns and countryside by discovering their produce and creations: watercress from our villages, honey from the Gâtinais, pepper mint from Milly-la-Forêt and the glassware, soaps and a wide range of other products.
